The Story Behind
Our Movement

Many children face obstacles that have restricted progress in education for many centuries. One of these major obstacles is the lack of educational materials including exercise books, textbooks, and learning supplies such as notebooks, pens, pencils, stationery, etc. More than 5 million children in Ethiopia are currently monro casino in need of support to grow with education and skills equipped with the right school supplies.

Books Ethiopia is engaged in providing learning opportunities for children facing poverty by delivering education supplies all over Ethiopia to ensure their rights to education.

Every year, we provide thousands of exercise books and related educational material supplies for children all over Ethiopia to help learning and development. In low-income countries such as Ethiopia, our provision of quality learning and teaching materials also compensates for disabling factors such as large class sizes, poorly trained casinoly casino or unqualified teachers, a shortage of instructional time, high levels of illiteracy among parents, and a lack of reading materials in homes.

Books Ethiopia Foundation has legal nonprofit organization status in Ethiopia, in accordance with the Civil Society Organizations Proclamation Number 1113/2019.

We work with several community schools, society representatives and directly get involved with children and their parents living on the streets of Addis Ababa and neighboring cities to provide them with adequate school supplies and mentorship to have them keep going to their respective schools.

Providing Learning Opportunities for Children Facing Poverty

By intervening in the provision of required educational supplies, Books Ethiopia Foundation works to ensure underprivileged children at all educational levels can have needed school supplies.

Promote Use of Environmental Friendly Supplies

Our initiative is a way for us to reduce environmental impact, and to have a greener new generation.

Environmental Conservation

Recycled paper is the greenest option, it uses less energy, and water, produces fewer carbon emissions than the manufacturing of non-recycled paper, and at the same time reduces the amount of waste in landfills. One ream of paper (which is 500 sheets) uses 5% of a single tree. We produce educational supplies made of recycled paper to help combat the cutting of trees.
