Many children face obstacles that have restricted progress in education for many centuries. One of these major obstacles is the lack of educational materials including exercise books, textbooks, and learning supplies such as notebooks, pens, pencils, stationery, etc. More than 5 million children in Ethiopia are currently in need of support to grow with education and skills equipped with the right school supplies.
Books Ethiopia is engaged in providing learning opportunities for children facing poverty by delivering education supplies all over Ethiopia to ensure their rights to education.
Every year, we provide thousands of exercise books and related educational material supplies for children all over Ethiopia to help learning and development. In low-income countries such as Ethiopia, our provision of quality learning and teaching materials also compensates for disabling factors such as large class sizes, poorly trained or unqualified teachers, a shortage of instructional time, high levels of illiteracy among parents, and a lack of reading materials in homes.
Books Ethiopia Foundation has legal nonprofit organization status in Kentucky, USA with a 501 (c) (3) status and is licensed in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia under the Authority for Civil Society Organization.
