By intervening in the provision of required educational supplies, Books Ethiopia Foundation works to ensure underprivileged children at all educational levels can have needed school supplies. We do this through generous donors, people, private companies and other not for profit foundations who see how our plan for progress guides thorough change, rescuing thousands of children in Ethiopia from the darkness of illiteracy.
Meeting basic needs in a sustainable way breaks the trap of sickness, violence, and uncertainty that poverty illegitimately sanctions.
Impoverished regions in many parts of the country face challenges in supplying basic school supplies to children. Literacy is hands-on. Students need exercise books, textbooks, pencils, pens and computers to help with learning.
Our support for these children is a game changer as it opens the door for better lives for the next generation. The supplies go directly to children that cannot afford to have basic educational material supplies all over the country. Our reach out is extended to several parts of the country including Addis Ababa and nearby cities. We work with hundreds of schools and local community leaders to identify who needs our support the most and provide access to learning supplies, helping to gain a sense of normality and get skills for children and young people in vulnerable situations.

Books Ethiopia Foundation has legal nonprofit organization status in Ethiopia, in accordance with the Civil Society Organizations Proclamation Number 1113/2019.
